LIFE'S PURPOSE

Many times we hear the phrase that admonishes us to pour ourselves out. I imagine that phrase has a different meaning for each individual as to how they are to pour themselves out.

On my morning exercise as I speed-walk through this very woodsy picturesque park, I am able to clear my head and meditate in Spirit. The atmosphere is so surreal it seems as if I am in a paradise and there is no one there but me and Spirit. The Spirit began to talk to me about emptying myself and pouring myself out. I was truly at a loss as to what that meant for me. When around the corner came one of the ladies that I had been seeing occasionally as we walked the path. She was overweight and like most of us elders there was walking for our health. I had always encouraged her and built her up confirming to her every little bit of a change that I saw and of the progress she had made. This I did to make her feel good about herself and to encourage her and let her know that someone noticed her sacrifices. This lit up her beautiful face from the sadly drawn and discouraged face that I first saw many weeks earlier. I was drawn to this lady more than most, therefore I took it as a led from Spirit to give her a little extra attention. This particular day I did not have to initiate conversation with her. In fact, she used my lines and greeted me as she and her dog rounded a bend in the path saying, “There she is!” After a few more greetings where I smiled at others, going out of my way to touch their spirit and release kind words to them, the Spirit impressed upon me, you poured yourself out for her and the others you have met along the way releasing positive blessings, smiles and just letting them know that someone cared. I became even more blissful releasing thankfulness when another walked around a corner. The Spirit was so strong that as we greeted each other, a gentlemen walked pass and I felt the release of Spirit touching his spirit as he walked by. He then turned around taking a double take in tune to Spirit as if to see for the first time who it was releasing. Spirit began to impress this upon me saying this is the results of your genuinely smiling, releasing my Spirit to continue the work.

I have seen all to often where many have become acclimated to the thought that we must save others by giving them the ‘plan of salvation’. Many of us knock on doors, standing on the street corners handing out pamphlets to all who pass by. These most often start twitching, babbling in the baby chatter of undeveloped tongues thinking themselves to be spiritual and that the inordinate show will convince others of their holiness. Many are not directed by Spirit and have a rehearsed line to spill out to people who are left with a cold dry feeling and perhaps think, if that is what being saved is all about, I don’t want it. I will just keep what I have. There have been times when well meaning Christians have attempted to minister to me. As I listened, discerning their spirit, they had nothing to give but a pamphlet perhaps. They were sad, hurting, no joy and did not even have a smile to give. Many ‘saved’, not realizing that they have not come into True Redemption, are at a loss thinking they have something to share. Each of us are here to work on our own soul salvation and release to others as Spirit directs. However, there must be an inflow of Spirit, of one knowing who they are, who are knowledgeable as to the workings of Spirit and are obedient to Spirit, in order for one to release and/or empty themselves out to others. Otherwise, there is nothing to pour out to that would be helpful to them finding their way.

We all have been put here to reach and express our life purpose. We accomplish this by working through certain issues, effects or causes, applying our energy in positive and constructive ways. We are all unique and have our owns personal set of circumstances that we must overcome in order to be productive and fruitful in helping others. In order for us to reach our destiny, we must pass through the experiences associated with our purpose in order to reach fulfillment and bring our inherent gifts and talents to maturity. As we work to fulfill our life purpose, we all have negative and/or undeveloped characteristics and vulnerabilities that are related to our purpose. These tendencies tend to pull us one way or the other until we come to the realization that everything we experience is a natural part of this life and that there is a balance that we must attain. This balance is reached from our experiences in life. These experiences propel us to rise to greater heights. This is when and where we receive ability and capacity to overcome as we work to fulfill our purpose in life. It is to them who overcome who are granted to eat from the Tree of Life and enter into Heaven.

Not one of us is an accident and we all have a specific purpose in this life. Most often we have succumbed to a way of life that we insist on looking for that heavenly place outside of ourselves. However, Spirit is ever present within attempting to woo us in the direction that we should go; that inner voice that continues to tell you ‘here is the way walk in it’. Perhaps you have surrounded yourself with people who are negative in character who have not come into their life purpose yet. Therefore, the concept of reaching that heavenly place is an unattainable concept for them. Those negative spirits or negative thoughts then push negative energy upon you. Your mind then become confused and began to go against the Divine Spirit within you. The Divine Promptings are then ignored and you find yourself going through the same situations over and over again, on that perpetual roller-coaster of sometimes up and sometimes down.

Each of us has our own set of challenges. Within each challenge there is a lesson to be learned. We all have that proverbial ‘thorn in the side’. This thorn is for the sole purpose of prompting us to seek and walk the path that has been predestined for our lives. We are not here to merely reach our purpose but to transcend it! In order for us to transcend and/or ascend into the heavenlies of peace, joy and happiness, we must resolve certain issues and renew our thought process before Spirit can take us to that place of fulfillment of our potentials.

We all have that intrinsic drive to help others, however, if one has not reached that balance and renewal of mind, how can they possible help another? The Great Commission has been accepted and taken on by those who feel it their Call and Purpose to ‘save’ others when it has become a diversion to keep one from saving themselves coming into True redemption and the knowledge of their purpose in life. We all must receive revelation today as it refers to our own unique set of circumstances. Through the Christian mindset, we have often times rejected and misused the greatest gifts that Divine Spirit comes to impart to us. However, when we tap into to Divine Spirit we can overcome all obstacles on our path; our promise of destiny will be fulfilled. Once we discover that Spirit originate circumstances in our life that brings us into the very situation that we must overcome, in order for us to discover our life path, it is then we become receptive to and receive enlightenment and revelation of the Christ within. Once we have discovered that it is Spirit that guides our affairs through the works of Divine Law, according to what we think and speak into it, we then can dedicate ourselves to walking that path inspired by the experiences that will bring us growth to reach the next level. We experience positive aspects of our life purpose only to the extent that we successfully acknowledge and work through the issues set before us.

We must come to the realization of, “All things work together for good”. We must not only know Truth, we must know and experience the working knowledge of Truth that will bring us into our purpose in life. Quoting and slinging Truth around is much different than for one to experience that Truth. Experiencing Truth has more to do with inner reality than an outer appearance or expression of one’s self works. Therefore, we must learn to accept ourselves and others as they are and know that Spirit is working in each of us to do the work necessary to bring us all into Unity of the Faith unto a more perfect Whole.

Work on yourself! Allow Spirit to bring you to that place of acceptance and knowledge that you can unselfishly empty and pour out of yourself from experience. This will open up a channel to allow Spirit to do the work to bring others into the knowledge of who they are and their life's purpose.
